Using MinutesMaster with Zoom

Connect your Zoom account, record meetings, and get AI minutes automatically.

Overview

MinutesMaster can send a recording bot into your Zoom meetings. The bot joins on your behalf, records the meeting, and automatically produces a speaker-labeled transcript plus structured minutes (summary, agenda, action items). To comply with Zoom's requirements, you first authorize MinutesMaster to act on your behalf (a one-time connection), and you must be present in the meeting you want recorded.

1. Add the app — connect your Zoom account

  1. Sign in to MinutesMaster and open Profile → Integrations.
  2. Click Connect Zoom.
  3. You'll be redirected to Zoom to authorize MinutesMaster. Review the permissions and click Allow.
  4. You'll return to MinutesMaster and see "Connected" with your Zoom email. That's it — you only need to do this once.

2. Use the app — record a Zoom meeting

  1. Start or join the Zoom meeting you host, and stay in the meeting (Zoom requires the authorizing user to be present for the bot to record).
  2. In MinutesMaster, go to New Minutes → Meeting Bot.
  3. Paste the Zoom meeting URL and click Create Meeting Bot.
  4. The bot joins the meeting (admit it from the waiting room if prompted) and records.
  5. When the meeting ends, your transcript and minutes appear under All Minutes, ready to view and export (PDF, DOCX, TXT, SRT, VTT).

3. Remove the app — disconnect Zoom

You can disconnect at any time, in two places:

  • In MinutesMaster: Profile → Integrations → Disconnect. This deletes the stored Zoom authorization for your account.
  • In Zoom: go to the Zoom App Marketplace → Manage → Added Apps, find MinutesMaster, and click Remove to revoke access.

After disconnecting, MinutesMaster can no longer send a bot to your Zoom meetings until you reconnect.

Data & privacy

When you connect Zoom, MinutesMaster stores your Zoom account's email and display name and a reference to your authorization. The underlying Zoom access tokens are held encrypted by our meeting-recording provider and are never stored in plain text by us. Recordings and transcripts are processed to generate your minutes. For full details, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
